• • Name used for two species of the Apocynaceae family: <Tabernaemontana odontadeniiflora> and <Cascabela ovata>. These are trees with dark bark that reach a height of 8 meters. The leaves of the <Tabernaemontana odontadeniiflora> are distributed across from one another along the stem, while this is not the case for <Cascabela ovata>. The former has a trumpet-shaped flower while the latter has a goblet-shaped flower. In both cases, the flowers are yellow. The fruit of the former is curved with a point at the end, while the fruit of the latter is just slightly pointed. The nectar of the flower is edible, and the tree exudes latex. Both the flowers and the latex are believed to have curative properties for disinfecting wounds that have pus and for treating a skin condition known as <gui'dxu yaa>.
