• • This name is used to refer to at least three different species of the Euphorbiaceae family. One of these is the scarce shrub <Acalypha> aff. <flagellata>. It has white or greenish flowers and reaches a height of 2 meters. Two other species belong to the genus <Croton>: <Croton mazapensis> and <Croton watsonii>. These are abundant trees that reach a height of 2 meters. Both of these species have leaves with a silvery back and tiny hairs in the shape of a star. Their flowers are white or white and yellow, and their fruits can be green or ashy and come in different sizes. All three species are found exclusively in the hilly areas known as El Merodio and El Eustaquio.
