• • This term is used to refer to at least two species believed to have medicinal properties to treat measles and chickenpox. The first is <Sida acuta>, of the Malvaceae family, an abundant herb that reaches a height of 50 centimeters and produces yellowish-white flowers and fruit that turns brown as it matures. The second is <Melochia tomentosa>, of the Sterculiaceae family, an abundant shrub that is one meter tall with purple flowers and green fruit. This species is also known simply as <la'sa yu>.
