  <=ri> is the enclitic from of <rori>, the 3rd person plural imperfective aspect marker.

      Meori paa hua maa, hua bata maari namana, e suvin he tavus namana.

      And they paddled, (they) were paddling to the deep ocean, when the suvin demon appeared in the deep ocean.
