The semantic shift of contents to body is commonly associated with reflexes of *isi in Timorese Austronesian languages, e.g., Tokodede ‹isi› 'body, flesh', Hresuk ‹isi|k› 'meat, body', Tetun ‹isi|n› 'body'.
